Farming Simulator 17 sold 1 million copies in a month
Farming Simulator 17 (Focus Interactive) — showed high sales on PC and consoles. The game has been bought more than a million times in a month.
This is one and a half times more than the previous part of the series earned over the same period. Half of the sales came from personal computers.
700 thousand boxes of the game were purchased in real stores. On Steam, sales amounted to 210 thousand. The remaining copies were bought on other digital platforms.
For comparison, estimated retail sales of Gears of War 4 for the first week amounted to 617 thousand, and shipments of Mafia 3 for the first week – 4.5 million, but the number of users of the latter on Steam is 350 thousand sales after a month and a half.
The game was developed by the Swiss studio Giants Software on its own engine. Farming Simulator 17 allows you to plant, harvest and transport crops on 250 types of equipment. There is a cooperative multiplayer for 16 players.
The game was released on October 24.
