SGN announced the purchase of TinyCo
The authors of Cookie Jam announced the acquisition of TinyCo, known for such games as Tiny Monsters, Marvel Avengers Academy and Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff.
The amount of the transaction is not specified.
125 TinyCo employees now join the SGN team consisting of 275 people. Whether the company’s brand will remain is still unclear, but according to App Annie, the Korean Netmarble is now the parent company of both publishers (TinyCo and SGN) on the App Store and Google Play. The latter, we recall, invested $ 130 million in SGN last summer.
According to SGN, the total revenue of all TinyCo projects by the end of this year will be more than $100 million. The income of SGN itself at the end of last year was about $ 300 million.
For SGN, famous for numerous games in the genre of three-in-a-row, this is not the first purchase. At the end of 2015, the company acquired two small studios Fat Rascal Games and Kiwi.
