Supercell is seriously going into esports

The authors of Clash Royale have opened a vacancy for an employee who, among other things, will integrate competitive and spectacular moments into their games.

Supercell по-серьезному собралась в киберспорт

Clash Royale showed, like World of Tanks: Blitz with Walking War Robots a little earlier, the prospects of synchronous multiplayer on mobile platforms. But Supercell does not intend to stop there. She has esports ambitions.

The Finnish company is confident that Clash Royale is able to transfer esports to mobile, a platform where, according to company representatives, this type of competition has not yet taken root (a stone in the garden of Vainglory, whose developers have been holding championships on tablets for several years).

And now Supercell has apparently realized the need for a new step in this direction. Finns are looking for a specialist with 10 years of experience in media project management who will create a “competitive vision” of current and future Supercell games, integrate the mechanics necessary for such games, participate in the development of tools for organizing competitions and many others.

In general, as you can see, the company is seriously targeting esports.

“We have made only a couple of first steps into the world of events, such as Tokyo Clash, ClashCon 2015 and Clash Royale Helsinki Tournament. And we still have so much to learn!”, – says the official job description on the Supercell website.
