One line (Friday - April 1)
Titan Quest will appear on iOS in more than a month, an update to Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear has been released, and the Japanese publisher Capcom will team up with its own mobile division to release games based on Monster Hunter, Mega Man and Sengoku Basara.
1. Developer DotEmu named the release date of the mobile version of Titan Quest. The port of the PC game 2006 will appear on iOS on May 19. Mobile adaptation has received control adapted to touch devices. To tell you more about the changes that had to be introduced, the DotEmu team published a short video story about the development of the project.
2. The Baldur’s Gate title has received a major update for the first time in 18 years. The expansion is called Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear and includes a story campaign, 70 new locations, 100 items and a new class of Shaman characters. Chronologically, the update events are located between the first and second parts of the game. This is the first independent development of Beamdog studio, which previously created HD versions of “old” PC projects. The update is currently available in PC, Mac and Linux versions. The studio is working on a mobile version of the game.
3. Japanese publisher Capcom joins its subsidiary mobile development studio Beeline Interactive and forms a mobile division of Capcom Mobile Co. For an outsider, this is not particularly interesting, since it simply means that Beeline Interactive (not a relative of the Russian Beeline) is turning from an autonomous company into a part of Capcom. It is much more interesting that the resulting division will release mobile games based on old-school titles – Monster Hunter, Mega Man and Sengoku Basara. In total, they promise 4 games. However, they will focus on the Asian market. So it’s not a fact that a Western user will see these titles.
