A bird from Angry Birds became an honorary UN ambassador, Telltale shared details on a new project about Batman, and Nintendo is launching its first mobile project — the social application Miitomo.
1. Red, the Angry Birds character, became the official ambassador of the United Nations. This happened as part of a new UN campaign called Angry Birds Happy Planet. The initiative was launched in order to “establish a direct link between the fight against climate change and the well-being of people.” To illustrate the key points of the company, the UN used a cut from The Angry Birds Movie. Recall that the film will appear on screens this summer.
2. Telltale shared details about a new project about Batman. The game will be released in the summer of 2016 and the plot “will not be tied to any existing comic book or movie” in the franchise. The decisions that the user will make will affect the fate of the game’s characters. From a visual point of view, the game will be closer to the comic style.
3. Nintendo‘s first mobile project, Miitomo, was released. This is not a game, but a shareware application in which users create their avatars and then use them to communicate with each other. The project is currently available only in Japan. The timing of the global release is not called.
