Release of the Day: Super Tribes
Stockholm studio Midjiwan has released a mobile reading of Civilization – Super Tribes.
What?
A step-by-step 4X strategy about the development of civilizations, made in a low-polygonal style. Free.
How?
Super Tribes is very similar to the original Civilization. Adjusted for scale, of course.
There are a certain number of civilizations that differ visually, as well as starting technologies. The player can build cities (at certain points), develop technologies. The range of troops depends on the chosen technologies, as well as the range of tools for developing the territory (farms, roads, and so on). The better the territory around a certain settlement is developed, the bigger the city and the more resources it brings each turn.
The resource in the game is one – stars. They are spent on everything from technology to units. There are also battles (and even in a very truncated form of diplomacy) with representatives of other nations.
Points are given for the construction of buildings, troops, and the development of technologies. The task in the game is to collect maximum points in 30 moves.
Why download it?
Free and very intelligently transferred to mobile Civilization. In addition, it is free (individual nations are bought for money).
Cons?
Not the most convenient UI. Plus, not everyone may like low-poly.
You can download the iOS version of the game from here. We have not found an Android version.
