Release of the Day: Robocide
The release of the Robocide game from the Finnish PlayRaven team, previously noted for the spy strategy Spymaster, took place.
What?
A simple strategy about mechs. In fact, it is another attempt to transfer RTS gameplay to mobile platforms.
How?
There are several bases on the playing field. One of them is yours. Bases are stamped with a certain periodicity by droid swarms (in the terminology of the bot game).
Droids are the main game tool. They kill enemies, carry the remaining energy from them to the base, accelerating the growth of a new swarm, and also demolish enemy bases. The latter is the main task of each mission.
Management boils down to telling the droids the point where they should move, and then they decide for themselves what to do – fight with representatives of the enemy hive, pick up the remaining resources or destroy buildings.
The player can also spawn (once per mission) a giant mech that has special abilities. Plus, it can be improved. He, like the swarms, goes to where the player put a mark on the map.
Why download the game?
Unusual new gameplay, beautiful mechs, in general, a high level of implementation.
Cons?
The game can get boring quickly. There are too few opportunities for interaction.
You can download the game from here. The Android version has not been delivered yet.
