Digi-Capital: Mobile market revenues will grow to $48 billion by 2020
The volume of the mobile gaming market will increase from $39 billion to $48 billion over the next four years, Digi-Capital is confident.
According to the forecasts of the company’s experts, the total volume of the games market in 2016 will amount to $ 90 billion, and by 2020 the figure will grow to $ 115 billion. The share of the mobile segment of the industry in 2016 will be 39% of the total gaming market ($ 35 billion). Within four years, this number will grow by 3% and reach $48 billion.
“The mobile market has changed dramatically over the past five years – it has grown in relation to other market segments and is eating away the audience from these segments,” Tim Merel, Managing director of Digi-Capital, comments on the figures.
Recall that in May 2015, Digi-Capital published a similar forecast for 2018. According to the company’s experts, by this time the volume of the mobile gaming market will reach $45 billion.
