Bethesda has opened a studio in Montreal, which will also deal with mobile development
The authors of Fallout 4 and Skyrim decided to gain a foothold in Canada. Yesterday, December 9, it became known that Bethesda Game Studios opened a studio in Montreal.
The new team, currently consisting of 40 people, will develop projects for PC, consoles and mobile platforms,” Bethesda Softworks publishing house reports. However, at the moment the Canadian studio is looking for developers exclusively for a “big” role-playing project for consoles and computers.
Employees of the Montreal office, mainly, were former employees of Behavior Interactive, who participated in the development of Fallout 4.
Behavior Interactive is an independent company specializing in autosource development. They had a hand in projects like Wolfenstein: The New Order, Far Cry 3 and Shadow of Mordor. Her Chilean studio from Santiago made Fallout Shelter. By the way, she continues to support and develop the game at the moment.
The director of the new Bethesda studio was Yves Lachance, also a native of Behavior Interactive, in which he worked for more than 9 years in leadership positions.
