1. Finnish startup Futurefly, which was founded by Oskari Häkkinen, has closed another round of investments. This time, the mobile studio got half a million dollars. The money will be used for the further development of the studio’s first project. We quote that it will become the “next generation mobile messenger with 3D avatars” and will be released in 2016. The total amount of investments collected by the studio since its foundation in September last year has reached $3 million.
2. London studio The Secret Police received an unnamed sum from Amuse Capital. This fund belongs to Hayao Nakayama, former president of Sega Enterprise. With the help of the funds received, the London startup will create a mobile game inspired by Japanese JRPGs. The studio is looking for employees.
3. Serkan Toto, an analyst at Kantan Games studio, during Casual Connect 2015 shared tips on how to conquer the impregnable Japanese market. The link contains videos and slides, and here is an article based on the speech.
