A beta of a social network and a store for game developers has been launched Playfield.io . The creators promise that their project will “stop the indie apocalypse” and help independent authors increase the visibility of their games. Playfield.io it is conceived simultaneously as a means to promote the game and store. Developers will be able to both share information about their project and sell games. The service has the ability to search for content by genres, themes and platforms. Until now Playfield.io it existed as an aggregator of information about games.

Studio 2K Games (Shanghai branch of the American studio Take-Two Interactive) has closed. This means that a mobile MMO for the Borderlands universe will never be released.

Newzoo has published an October list of the most popular midcore games for PC. League of Legends was at the top of the list.
