The Micro Machines game will appear on iOS
Mobile game publisher Chillingo, together with Codemasters, has started working on a mobile game based on the Micro Machines racing series.
The British studio Codemasters, which is the author of the original game, will also be the developer of the mobile version of the project. Chillingo will be the publisher.
Representatives of Codemasters promised that the mobile title will be as similar as possible to the original. It is already known that the game will have a multiplayer mode.
“Our teams are working closely together to ensure that Micro Machines returns to users as multiplayer races with a large number of game modes and wins a global audience,” commented Codemasters executive producer Chris Gray.
The project will be released on iOS later this year.
The first game in the Micro Machines series was released in 1991. The player controlled a toy car. The races were held on tracks that were located, for example, on the beach, in the bathroom, on the kitchen table or lawn. The user could play in tournament mode, or compete with another player or with AI.
