Fiksu: the cost of buying a loyal user on iOS is growing again
Last September, the cost of buying a loyal user or CPLU on iOS in the US reached $ 4.14. Information about this came from the analytical firm Fiksu.
A loyal user is someone who launches an app or game more than three times in seven days. In August, the cost of acquiring such a user on iOS reached a maximum value of $ 4. September figures exceeded this number. A loyal “Apple” user of the American App Store will cost the developer $4.14. This is 3.5% more than in the previous month and 84% higher than in September 2014.
The user’s purchase price or CPI also increased in September. For iOS in the US, it is $1.53, and for Android – $1.88.
Fiksu explains the increase in indicators by the fact that the NFL preseason matches start in September. This means that a lot of sports games and applications appear on the American market, for which traffic is aggressively purchased. Thus, the visibility of other projects decreases, and the cost of their promotion increases.
The firm’s analysts assume that prices will continue to rise until the New Year holidays.
