Mobile games will account for 35% of all revenue from the digital games market in 2020
In five years, the mobile games market will earn a third of all the money the gaming industry receives from digital sales.
This was recently announced by the research company Juniper Research as part of the announcement of its own voluminous study of the Worldwide Digital Games Market 2015-2020 (the global digital games market 2015-2020), the full version of which will cost £ 3,790.
According to analysts, in general, the digital games market will earn about $80 billion by the end of this year. By the end of 2018, this figure will increase to $104 billion. Juniper Research sees digital versions of PC games as the main source of growth, which will earn $33.6 billion in 2015. For comparison, digital versions of console games of the latest generation will reach $21 billion. By the end of December 2018, the last figure will increase to $27 billion.
The press release does not specify how much money will be available for each segment, including mobile, by 2020.
