iOS 9 users are more likely to spend money on games
In two weeks since the release of the new OS, more than half of iPhone users have downloaded it to their devices. At the same time, there are more paying players among them than non-paying ones. This is reported by VentureBeat resource with reference to information from the analytical company DeltaDNA.
According to DeltaDNA, this time users of “apple” devices are more willing to update the operating system than last time. For comparison, DeltaDNA experts provide figures for the previous OS. Over the same period of time, only 46% of users updated their devices to iOS 8.

The company also studied statistics on mobile players.
Among those who have upgraded the OS to nine, there are 5% more paying users than non-paying ones.
The company notes that such a gap could arise due to the fact that non-paying users are more likely to own older iPhone models. Three out of five (60%) paying players use the iPhone 6, while among non-paying players this number is only 41%. And the older the smartphone model, the more reluctant users are to update the OS. DeltaDNA analysts believe that owners of previous iPhone models are concerned about how the system will work on their device. “As expected, iPhone 4 users are very reluctant to upgrade to iOS 9, while their number is only 22%,” the company’s representatives comment.
For its research, DeltaDNA examined data on 20 million iPhones.
Recall that Apple released the ninth iteration of the OS for mobile devices on September 16.
