John Romero to release Dangerous Dave on iOS
The most odious figure of the three creators of Doom – John Romero – announced the imminent appearance of a remaster of the platformer Dangerous Dave on the Apple mobile platform.
There are about ten versions of the game in total. The original was released in 1988 on the Apple II. It was created by Romero in his spare time. After id Software was founded in 1991, the more famous Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion was released.
Announced the other day by Romero himself, the novelty will be a remaster of Dangerous Dave, released on PC in 1990.
As far as can be understood from the trailer, the game that John developed in the family circle (he codified himself, put his wife in charge of PR, and his son for testing, invited friends to help with the rest) will differ from the original only graphically.
Judging by Romero’s message on his personal Twitter feed, Dangerous Dave will be released on iOS very soon.
It is also expected to be released on PC. The remaster will allow you to play the original 1990.
