The author of Five Nights at Freddy's is developing a role-playing game
Today, September 16, the author of the series Five Nights at Freddy’s Scott Cowton (Scott Cowton) said that the fifth part of the popular horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s will not be. Instead, he will make a role-playing game based on her motives.
“It is very important for me to say again that there will be NO Five Nights at Freddy’s 5. The story is over, and the Halloween update, as well as the new game, will not add anything to it,” Scott wrote in his blog on Steam.
“As already mentioned, I wanted to use these characters [from Five Nights at Freddy’s] in a new, fun way, because they are close and dear to my heart, and I was very happy to work on such a game, which I haven’t been developing for a long time,” adds Scott.
The new game is called FNAF World. It will not be a horror movie, but a role-playing project in which the player will have to create a team using characters from Five Nights at Freddy’s.
It is not yet known when the game will be released. Initially, Scott planned to complete the demo version of the project by October 31, “All Saints’ Day”, but, according to him, he is unlikely to have time by this time, since “the scale of the game is noticeably larger than other games in the series.”
FNAF World will be released on both iOS and Android, as well as on Steam.
What fate awaits the new project is not entirely clear, since Scott’s projects were not taken seriously by anyone before leaving for horror-style.
