How to create a mobile game (instructional 60-second video)
A satirical video has appeared on Reddit telling how you can create a successful mobile game in a few steps with a minimum of effort.
There are only five tips:
- Carefully borrow the gameplay mechanics of a not very popular, but interesting game of the game (or recreate the viral project as close as possible to the original).
- Implement a currency system built on a hard currency that will allow players to buy advantages in the game.
- Randomly play non-throwable promotional videos on game levels.
- Call the game by some tenacious, easy-to-remember name that resembles the name of the original game.
- Create one or two unique levels (when the developer whose game you borrowed comes with questions, you can point to these levels and declare that you are an artist after all).
The author was a user under the nickname FluorescentTurban. As he noted in the Gamedev subreddit, the video is a parody in which the funniest and craziest thing is that these tips actually work.
