Bethesda Promotes Fallout Shelter on Tinder

The developers of Fallout Shelter have registered a profile on behalf of Vault Boy on the social network for dating Tinder.

Bethesda продвигает Fallout Shelter в Tinder

According to Kotaku, this is an official initiative of Bethesda: the company promotes the profile in its official channels, including on the Fallout page on Twitter. The profile also contains a link to the download page of the game.

Such a way of promotion – at the moment can not be called ordinary.

Dating services have been looking at games for a long time, thinking about the possibility of creating their own game showcases, but they are not yet ready to publish /launch games on their platforms, but even advertise them. In turn, their attitude to fake accounts is unambiguous – they do not tolerate them. The question is whether Bethesda has an agreement with Tinder, plus how effective this method of promotion is.

We also add that Bethesda’s PR department has recently become more active. Last week, a video of the Fallout 4 gameplay leaked to the network via Pornhub (!), the other day Bethesda Softworks vice president for marketing and PR Pete Hines noted that they did not intend to tell anything more about Fallout 4 before the release. Now here’s Tinder.
