Angry Birds 2 reached 1 million downloads in 12 hours
Rovio announced that Angry Birds 2 has overcome the threshold of 1 million installations in a very short time by mobile standards – 12 hours.
“We knew that the game would be bigger, bird-like and get a large number of downloads. But I could not imagine that it would happen so quickly,” Patrick Liu, creative director of the Stockholm division of Rovio, responsible for the development of Angry Birds 2, commented on the achievement on Twitter (Patrick, by the way, previously produced Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield 1943 and The Darkness).
Knew this was bigger, birdier and have lots of downloads. Never imagine it would be this fast! Thanks to all fans! https://t.co/PbiwcGCH2B

Как правило, отличным результатом считается достижение этой отметки и за гораздо больший срок – за неделю. Впрочем, 1 млн за половину суток The Finns do not specify how Angry Birds 2 downloads were distributed between the App Store and Google Play. It is not possible to make any assumptions about this at the moment (July 31, 11.00 Moscow time), since the game page on Google Play works with errors: despite tens of thousands of estimates, the approximate number of installations on it reaches only 10-50 units.
By the end of its first day on the App Store, the game had reached the Top 5 in downloads among all apps in 29 countries. As for cash positions, Angry Birds 2 entered only two world Top 100 sales on iOS: in Finland and the Czech Republic.
The position of Angry Birds 2 in the world’s top free App Store apps (according to App Annie)
Apparently, due to problems with indexing the page on Google Play, App Annie does not see the application in the Android store, so we can’t say anything about the global performance of the game on this platform yet.
Be that as it may, the game’s user ratings in both the App Store and Google Play are very high: 4.5 and 4.6, respectively.
