Foamstars transitions to a free-to-play model
Square Enix has revealed that its four-on-four shooting game, Foamstars, will switch to a free-to-play model.
According to a post on the company's support page, this new structure will be implemented on October 4, 2024. From that day, players will not need a PlayStation Plus membership to access the game.
Those who bought Foamstars prior to this update will receive a special gift package containing unique in-game content. More information on this offer is expected soon.
In earlier company news, Square Enix announced a 68% rise in first-quarter profits, reaching $72 million, despite an 18.4% drop in net sales, totaling $477 million.
