Nintendo plans to shut down its free-to-play mobile game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
The popular mobile game Animal Crossing Pocket Camp by Nintendo will be phased out on November 28. This free-to-play title is set to be succeeded by a new version requiring payment.
Details about the release date or the price of this upcoming game have yet to be disclosed. However, Nintendo has mentioned that this iteration will feature no in-app purchases and won't need a constant internet connection.
More information is anticipated next October 2024.
Players will be able to transfer their progress to the new version, but the in-game currency, Leaf Tickets, won't carry over. Players should use any remaining Leaf Tickets before the current version shuts down.
Subscription fees will continue to be processed up until October 28, after which they will be halted, and even automatic renewals will be canceled.
Nintendo's decision mirrors its approach with Mario Kart Tour, which ceased receiving new content last year.
