Meta*, Microsoft, Epic Games and 33 other tech giants have teamed up to standardize the metaverse
The companies organized the Metaverse Standards Forum. Within the framework of this forum, they will try to form standards for the open metaverse and develop a common terminology. The giants are also going to discuss project prototypes, hackathons, plugins and open source tools.
The organizers of the forum indicated that participation in it is free. Despite everything, Roblox, Niantic, The Sandbox and some other companies that are also working on their metaverses have not joined it.
