Apple rejects apps with ads for other platforms
The App Store does not accept applications whose ads contain mentions of other platforms. This is reported by the resource Pocketgamer.biz , referring to their own data.
The App Store rules state: “apps or metadata that mentions any other platforms will be rejected.” However, there are reports that projects are being removed or not accepted due to the fact that not they themselves, but advertising in them contains references to other platforms.
As an example Pocketgamer.biz leads the Dungeon Hunter banner. It contains links to Google Play and Windows Store. For this reason, the application, in a short time it was demonstrated, is not allowed in the Apple store.
In-game advertising is often placed not even by the developers themselves, but by marketing networks. In this situation, it is difficult to follow the links inside the ad.
“If an advertising network is unable to meet the new requirements of this particular platform or cannot adapt to them quickly, then developers will have to remove or replace ads in order to get their project approved,” notes Rob Weber, CEO of the marketing company NativeX.
Developers, according to Pocketgamer.biz , receive notifications of rejection – but not recommendations on what kind of advertising and how to place it in order to avoid this rejection.
Pocketgamer.biz advises – you need to create ads that are “sharpened” specifically for Apple, that is, it does not contain any mentions of third-party platforms at all.
