FewReview: it's best to bring a bunch to the top - buying reviews, and then traffic
You can promote applications in different ways. Someone buys clicks, someone counts on word of mouth or negotiates with platform holders. Another way can be called buying reviews. At least, this is what Denis Kurkov, who recently launched the FewReview service, is doing. Denis and I talked about him.
Hi! When it comes to buying clicks or installations, it is usually clear what the money is going for. Reviews are more difficult. How significantly do they affect installations?
They have a very significant impact. People are much more willing to download apps with a high rating and a lot of reviews.
The most typical scheme is the purchase of 100 reviews distributed within 5 days immediately after the release of the new version of the application.
What increase in the position in the top, on average, is observed after that?
It is quite difficult to estimate the increase in the top, if the application is new and has not yet been promoted, then the effect can be very significant.
If it is already in the top positions in the category, then being, say, in eighth place, it can rise to fourth.
In the case of a customer buying a large number of reviews, in the future his users write comments more willingly and put an average rating higher, but this does not always happen.
If the application is outright “garbage”, then the effect is not so significant. The additional purchase of reviews works well for the new version of the application, increasing organic content by about 15%-30%. Let’s say you are in the Top 10 of some category and you have a new version of the application that is downloaded by, say, 1000 people a day. In this case, the purchase of 50-150 reviews can add you about 250 additional downloads per day. With a review price of 49 rubles, the client spends 2500 – 7500 rubles, while receiving about 300 organic users per day, in general, it turns out to be profitable.
We also recommend buying 50-100 reviews with each app update.
If the average rating of the application is less than 4, then you need to buy as many reviews as would allow you to increase the average rating of the application to at least 4 (although it is better, of course, to spend this money to improve the application).
In any case, it is best to bring a bunch of products to the top – reviews are bought first, usually two hundred is enough, then traffic is bought up. It turns out cheap and efficient. FewReview does not set itself the goal of bringing applications to the top, its goal is to significantly increase the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and the volume of organic traffic growth.
In which markets, other than Russian, do you work?
At the moment, only in Russian. In the near future, we will also support the American market.
Is there any targeting within your service (that is, is it possible to ask that the game be evaluated only by casual/hardcore players or only men/women)?
No, there is no such targeting, but there is targeting for loyal users. In other words, our users write overwhelmingly good reviews. The average score for all campaigns is 4.7.
How do you control the writing of reviews?
We do not control the writing of reviews, but if the author gives a low rating, then we terminate cooperation with him. Thus, only those users who write good and constructive reviews remain. We also encourage the writing of meaningful reviews, encouraging authors and thus achieving high quality reviews.
What is the maximum number of reviews you can provide?
At the moment – about 3,000 per version of the application. Within about a week, we can increase this value to 10,000. Further increase is also possible, but so far this has not been required. The client can run several campaigns on different applications in parallel. For example, if he wants to buy 1,000 reviews for 20 applications at once, no problem, we will do it!
Thanks for the interview!
