Papaya Mobile approved King's rejection of in-game advertising
According to Chris Hanage, CEO of Papaya Mobile, King’s refusal to advertise is a clear sign that the casual gaming industry is becoming more mature.
This means that developers began to make deliberate decisions, rather than trying to use all known methods to make a profit at once.
But, in Chris’s opinion, there is nothing wrong with advertising either: “Such in-game advertisements help players discover new projects, bring income to developers, and allow advertisers to gain a foothold in a particular market.”
Developers should simply change their approach to advertising, Hanazh believes: “In-game advertising is not when you try to fill all the free space of the game with it, it is when you competently embed it into the interface, so that it does not distract from the process.”
