Epic Citadel has received a registration on Google Play

The Epic Citadel application, demonstrating the power of the Unreal Engine mobile version, has appeared in the official Android store. Just two years after the release on the App Store.

It’s not strange that the “Epic Citadel” appeared on Google Play, it’s strange why it’s so late. After all, according to Pocket Gamer, the Android version was ready back in 2010. Does this mean it’s worth waiting for Infinity Blade? No, according to Epic Games, the game will remain an iOS exclusive.

Then why the release of Epic Citadel?

It seems to us that Epic just feels that it is losing the mobile market. While Unity regularly releases games for iOS and Android, Unreal cannot boast of such a library. So far, only nine projects have been made on it for mobile platforms.

The benchmark’s output is something like a PR move, a statement “we are still here“.
