In Belarus, there was a proposal to ban the advertising of gambling on the internet and in transportation
The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus has prepared a draft law that provides for the introduction of additional restrictions on the advertising of gambling in the country. It concerns both traditional gambling and iGaming.
In particular, the ministry wants to ban online advertising of "gambling and electronic interactive games." Along with this, if the draft law is adopted, online advertising of lotteries and gaming establishments may also be prohibited.
A similar ban is proposed for advertising such establishments in transport.
Furthermore, the draft law prohibits the use of images of people and animals in the advertising of gaming establishments and gambling. It also forbids companies from including information about bonuses that may be used for placing bets in their advertisements.
The ministry has already sent the document for approval to relevant agencies.
