11 Bit Studios has announced the reduction of its workforce by 20 employees. The company stated that this decision was made to "adjust new project teams to current needs"

11 Bit Studios, creators of The Alters, has announced it is letting go of 20 employees. This move is part of restructuring efforts to better align team formations with the phases of its current projects. Despite these changes, the company's financial health remains stable, according to a statement given to Game Developer.

The studio stated that while most staff members have been transitioned to other roles internally, those who must leave are receiving appropriate support. The decision aims at refining project groups to match existing needs while exercising stringent financial management.

Unfortunately, about 20 roles couldn't be integrated into projects that are still in preliminary stages, leading to those employees' departure.

This development follows a reduction in staffing earlier in 2024 after 11 Bit Studios canceled its project, codenamed Project 8. During that earlier adjustment, over half of the affected workers were retained in different capacities within the company.
