Former Halo Infinite art director joins Tencent’s studio Team Kaiju to work on new AAA IP
A few weeks after announcing his departure from 343 Industries, Nicolas Bouvier has joined AAA studio Team Kaiju. He is another Halo veteran at the new development subsidiary of Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group.
Bouvier shared the news on Twitter, saying that he will join Team Kaiju’s “new AAA adventures” as senior art director.
“Delighted to jump to a new team of great creative talents to create an entirely new IP for players around the world,” he wrote.

Team Kaiju was founded last year by Halo 4 lead designer Scott Warner and Battlefield 4 senior director Rosi Zagorcheva. The studio is backed by TiMi Studio Group, a Tencent subsidiary known for making some of the highest-grossing mobile games like Honor of Kings and Call of Duty: Mobile.
TiMi has been a major contributor to Tencent’s Western expansion since it partnered with Xbox last year and opened several new studios across North America. The company also hired former Assassin’s Creed director Ashraf Ismail to work at its Montreal office.
Nicolas Bouvier left 343 Industries last month after almost 14 years. As Team Kaiju senior art director, he will work on an announced live service first-person shooter.
