The WN LiveOps Summit took place in Belgrade. Here's a summary of the outcomes

Last Thursday, April 10, an event dedicated to the operation of video games took place in the capital of Serbia — the WN LiveOps Summit. Among its speakers were representatives from companies such as Nordeus, Playkot, Nexters, HeroCraft, and many others.

Participants of the event shared their expertise and discussed current LiveOps practices. Some talks led to lively discussions immediately after they were delivered. For example:

  • the presentation by Alexander Gubanov from MY.GAMES, which focused on defining operational practices when working on War Robots;
  • the speech by Mikhail Khripin from Balancy, exploring approaches for working with in-game stores in free-to-play projects.

Attendees were also very enthusiastic about the final presentation by Cyril Barrow and David Webb from Yarnhub Animation Studios. They shared how the success of their YouTube channel enabled them to venture into video game development.

Overall, the summit received positive feedback from both speakers and guests.

I love attending events like these because they offer an opportunity to interact with people you might not encounter otherwise. This time was no exception. I had an incredible time. There were so many cool and talented people!

Yes, lots of familiar faces. Yes, great content. But the venue... a perfect underground! Intimate, calm, a craft event.
