Business Insider: the new owner of gaming studios AppLovin will be Tripledot Studios

A month ago, the company AppLovin announced its decision to sell all its gaming studios for $900 million and focus on its advertising business. Business Insider has learned that the buyer will be the British company Tripledot Studios.

This information was relayed to the publication by four individuals familiar with the negotiations. They added that the deal is not yet finalized and could still fall through.

Separately, PocketGamer, citing its own sources, confirmed that the buyer is expected to be a private company based in London. Tripledot Studios is registered in this city.

AppLovin declined to comment on the media reports, while Tripledot Studios has not responded to inquiries.

AppLovin currently has a portfolio of ten game teams. Among them are Machine Zone, Belka Games, PeopleFun, Athena Studio, and Magic Tavern.

Tripledot Studios is a mobile game development studio specializing primarily in puzzle games and is known for titles such as Woodoku, Blossom Match, and Triple Tile. In 2022, following a major investment round, the market valuation of Tripledot Studios reached $1.4 billion.
