Love Island developer Fusebox Games opens new studio in LA led by TV writer Michael J. Cinquemani

Mobile developer Fusebox Games has announced the opening of its new studio in Los Angeles. It will be led by writer and producer Michael J. Cinquemani.

Cinquemani, whose portfolio includes TV series like The Vampire Diaries, General Hospital, and Brothers & Sisters, will serve as the new studio’s chief content officer. He will build out the US team to lead the company’s further expansion.

After spending six years working on mobile titles like Pocket Gems, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, and Jam City, Cinquemani will be in charge of producing narrative content based on Fusebox’s IPs and creating new original stories.

“Our core goal at Fusebox Games is to entertain, so I’ll be looking for the best storytellers to grow both the narrative team in London and build the new team in LA from the vast talent pool available there,” Cinquemani said. “Together we’’l create aspirational stories that give people an outlet to live, love, risk and dream big.”

Founded in 2016, Fusebox Games is best known for its mobile series Love Island. It currently has a player base of 25 million users across the globe, with 1.6 million MAU.
