itch.io bundle for Ukraine raises $6.3 million from almost 450k contributors in 10 days
An itch.io bundle launched by Necrosoft Games director Brandon Sheffield closes after 10 days. Almost 450 people supported the fundraiser, donating $6.3 million for humanitarian efforts.
The special Bundle for Ukraine was launched on March 8, with Necrosoft saying that “as game developers we want to create new worlds, not to destroy the one we have.”
10 days later, the fundraiser reached the goal, collecting a total of $6,370,602. Sheffield thanked all contributors on Twitter, adding, “may there soon be peace in Ukraine.”
The final number. Over $6.3m to split between @IMC_Worldwide and Voices of Children. I’ll do a bigger thread tomorrow, but for now, thank you all for contributing to this amazing achievement, and may there soon be peace in Ukraine!!! https://t.co/DFmUzyzvEQ pic.twitter.com/3ZmoPOKUoP

The Bundle for Ukraine contains 1000 digital items, including 600 indie games, 300 tabletop RPGs, as well as different comics, soundtracks, and assets. The full collection is worth more than $6500.
All the money will be split 50/50 between two charities: International Medical Corps, which provides medical assistance in Ukraine, and Ukrainian organization Voice of Children.
