Capcom has set a target to elevate the share of female managers to 15%.

During a general Q&A at their latest shareholders meeting, Capcom revealed that women currently constitute 21.2% of their workforce, with 13.6% identified as core talent.

The company did not specify how it distinguishes between general employees and core talent categories.

When queried about their strategy to boost the proportion of female managers, Capcom expressed confidence that expanding their scope could lead to an increase in women reaching directorial positions over time.

The firm also mentioned that it will be open to considering non-Japanese individuals for directorial roles in future selections.

Additionally, Capcom confirmed during the Q&A that they will continue to produce physical games, despite 90.1% of their sales coming from digital downloads in 2023.

"Given the substantial consumer demand for physical games, we do not foresee ceasing the production of physical formats," the company stated.

In May, Capcom announced a record profit of ¥43.3 billion ($277 million) for the seventh consecutive year, primarily driven by their digital content sector.
