Supercell removes its games from app stores in Russia and Belarus, suspending their further support

Supercell, a world-famous mobile developer and publisher, has taken the next step in its support of Ukraine. The company decided to remove all of its games from digital storefronts in Russia and Belarus.

“New downloads are halted and access for existing players will be suspended with the next client updates,” Suppercell announced on March 9.

It means that all active players from Russia and Belarus won’t be able to play games, even the ones they have already downloaded. The company’s portfolio includes mobile hits like Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars.

On top of that, Supercell decided to donate €1 million to the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR, while also matching donations up to €1 million in its special fundraising campaign for humanitarian aid.

The Finnish publisher is one of many game and tech companies that have left Russia and/or Belarus so far, including Activision Blizzard, EA, Rockstar, Microsoft, and CD Projekt.
