The Xbox Chief Marketing Officer is stepping down. The leadership of the department is awaiting reshuffles

June 30 will be the last working day at Microsoft for Xbox Chief Marketing Officer Jerret West. He has decided to move to Roblox. Following his departure, the corporation will make changes to the structure of the marketing department.

  • The marketing of games will be handled by the Xbox Game Studios team, reporting to Matt Booty.
  • The marketing of consoles and other hardware will be overseen by the Xbox team, reporting to Sarah Bond.
  • International marketing will be managed by the Microsoft Consumer Sales department team, reporting to Ami Silverman.

West is leaving Microsoft for the second time. He originally joined the corporation in 2003 but left in 2011 for a position as Vice President of Digital Marketing at American Express. He then worked for several years at Netflix, and in 2019 he returned to Microsoft to focus on launching the Xbox Series consoles.
