Remedy has four games in development, with major launches coming between 2023 and 2025

Remedy has shared a financial report for 2021, calling it a strong year and promising that the best times for the company are yet to come. The Finnish studio has four major games in development, which should drive its long-term growth.

Key takeaways from the report

  • Remedy reported annual revenue of €44.7 million, which is up 8.9% year-over-year. Its operating profit was €14.7 million.
  • The company is still committed to developing several games simultaneously. Thanks to a few partnerships, Remedy now has strong support from Tencent, 505 Games, Smilegate, and Epic Games Store.
  • “In addition to story-focused single-player games, our ambition to also create longer lasting games is materializing in two multiplayer service-based games,” Remedy CEO Tero Virtala said.
  • The studio is now working on four titles based on its own IPs, including Alan Wake 2 announced during The Game Awards in December 2021.
  • The other projects include two Control-related games, co-op game codenamed Condor (it is in the proof-of-concept stage), and bigger AAA project codenamed Heron.
  • Remedy is also working on online PvE shooter Vanguard, which is co-financed by Tencent.
  • All these games will be launched between 2023 and 2025, with the Alan Wake sequel being published by Epic Games in 2023.
