Amazon has integrated advertising into Kindle Fire HD tablets
Last week, Amazon introduced a whole line of Kindle Fire HD devices. The stated “pleasant” prices for the company’s devices are compensated by built-in advertising.
Ads will appear when the screen is blocked from pressing and in the lower left corner near the Home button. This is how Amazon is going to advertise its store’s special offers. If desired, users will be able to opt out of advertising on their tablets for an additional $15.
Perhaps this is even a more profitable investment than simply inflating the price of the device. But now the public knows exactly what the catch is.
