Sony confirms Nixxes’ role in helping bring more PlayStation IPs to PC

Soon after Sony acquired Nixxes Software, there has been a lot of discussion on what its role will be within the PlayStation family. Now we know that the studio will help the company bring more games to PC in the future.

Jim Ryan opened up about the partnership with Nixxes in an interview with Famitsu published on July 28.

“We are also happy with our efforts to provide our IP to PCs, although it is still in its infancy, and we look forward to working with Nixxes to help with that,” he said.

However, Ryan didn’t specify what exclusives will be coming to PC next. Sony has already ported some of its major IPs, including Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Death Stranding.

Sony acquired Nixxes Software earlier this month. The Dutch studio is known for porting plenty of games over the years. The list includes Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex, and other franchises.

In other news about Sony, PlayStation 5 has become the fastest-selling console in the company’s history. It has already surpassed 10 million units sold, which is a double-digit growth compared to the launch window of PlayStation 4.
