Call of Duty narrative and design directors leave Infinity Ward after 7 years

Taylor Kurosaki and Jacob Minkoff, key employees at Infinity Ward, have left the studio. The list of their work includes games like Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The joint statement was shared by Kurosaki on May 27. He and Minkoff decided to leave Infinity Ward earlier this year to “pursue a rare and exciting new opportunity.” However, developers didn’t clarify what their next step would be.

Jacob Minkoff worked as design director, working on gameplay mechanics on Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare, while Taylor Kurosaki served as narrative director of these games. Both developers started working at the company in 2014.

Prior to their work at Infinity Ward, Kurosaki and Minkoff were lead employees at Naughty Dog. They helped create one of the biggest games in franchises like Uncharted, The Last of Us, and Jak and Daxter.
