It seems that Toys For Bob, owned by Activision and known for creating Crash Bandicoot 4, is now suffering layoffs. It happened after the studio was moved to support the development of Call of Duty Warzone.

Toys For Blob announced it will support the development of CoD: Warzone Season 3 on April 29. Some employees commented on the news soon after.

According to character designer Nicholas Kole, who was contracted to work on Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, everyone he worked with “was let go.” He also added that he is glad “it’s not totally shuttering.”

It’s still unknown how many employees have already left Toys For Blob, but messages about the layoffs continue to appear online. Game designer Blake Maloof, who worked at the studio for more than 10 years, also announced his departure.

According to, most of Activision’s studios are now working on Call of Duty, so the decision regarding Toys For Bob shouldn’t be a surprise.
