App Store expands to 20 countries
Apple is rolling out the App Store in another 20 countries, eight of them in Africa.
This is the biggest expansion for the App Store since 2012, when Apple extended it to India, Russia and more than 50 other countries. At the time, the store was called the iTunes.
In Africa, the store will become available in Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Libya, Morocco, Rwanda and Zambia.
It is also coming to the Maldives and Myanmar in the Asia-Pacific region, Afghanistan and Iraq in the Middle East, and several countries in the Balkans and Oceania, for a total of 175 countries.
