PlayStation sets up $10 million fund for indie developers struggling amid COVID-19

As part of the inititative, PlayStation has set up a $10 million fund to support indie developers whose business has been disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak.
Independent developers are vital to the heart and soul of the gaming community and we understand the hardships and financial struggles that many smaller gaming studios are facing. With that, SIE has developed a fund to support them during this time. We have earmarked $10 million to support our independent development partners. More information about the fund, including participation criteria, will be made available soon.

To help the PlayStation community manage the stress of the lockdown, SIE will also give away Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. All PS4 owners will be able to download the games between Wednesday, April 15 – Tuesday, May 5. For customers in China and Germany, Sony is offering Knack 2 instead of of The Nathan Drake Collection.
