AppLovin will not continue trying to make a deal with Unity

The company’s management stated that it would be better for shareholders and other stakeholders if AppLovin remained independent. Therefore, it will not send Unity an updated merger proposal.

Shortly after the announcement, AppLovin’s shares rose 3.12% to $29.4 apiece on the postmarket. Unity shares, by contrast, fell 2.27% to $41.31 apiece.
