Business accelerator for game developers Appodeal announced the start of a new round
The mobile application growth platform Appodeal has announced a set of gaming products in the eponymous business accelerator. With the editors App2Top.ru the company shared what projects it is primarily interested in today.

If the project meets a number of criteria, the applicant will be contacted.
Who can get in
The initiative is designed for a wide range of applications (and not only gaming). However, the priority of the organizers is entertainment software. The most promising projects in the company are those that:
- designed for Android platforms;
- they are at the softlonch stage.
Special attention will be paid to casual and hyper-casual products. Accelerator organizers will expect compliance with the following metrics from casual products:
- the retention rate of the 1st day is equal to or greater than 30%;
- the retention rate of the 3rd day is equal to or greater than 20% (or for the 30th day it should be equal to or greater than 10%);
- the session length is around 10 minutes.
As for hyper-casual games, it will be enough for them to get into the pool of accelerator projects to have a retention rate of the first day above or equal to 50%.
What the accelerator offers
The accelerator specializes in marketing support and business scaling. “We strive to provide enough resources for people who dream of starting their own mobile application business,” explains Valeria Alfimova, CRO at Appodeal.
Accordingly, most of the bonuses offered to them are aimed specifically at business support of products. Among them:
- assistance in conducting UA campaigns and managing creatives;
- reimbursement of expenses for an advertising campaign within the softlonch up to $500;
- UA-financing;
- providing access and integration to business analytics and attribution services;
- the ability to both sign a contract for publishing games on the Appodeal side, and for self-publishing.
The total UA fund for the development of successful accelerator projects is $30 million.
About the accelerator
The Appodeal business accelerator is held for the third year in a row. The first time it started on the eve of the pandemic, which did not prevent its growth. During the first two rounds, he collected more than 4,000 applications.
Among the projects that have received support, Appodeal highlights the stories of two studios — NewPubCo and OpenMyGame. The first, as a result of cooperation, increased the audience in the United States three times, and the second tripled its revenue.
