ironSource has launched Supersonic Games, a developer and publisher of hyper—casual games
The ironSource network has recently opened its own gaming company — Supersonic Games. It already develops and publishes mobile games with advertising monetization.

The Supersonic team now has 20 people, but by the end of the year their number may triple.
The startup is headed by Nadav Ashkenazy, who was responsible for global sales at ironSource for three years.
According to VentureBeat, you can already look at the company’s debut project: the other day it released a Sort It 3D hypercausal. The title was released in the App Store and Google Play. According to Sensor Tower, he scored 900 thousand downloads.
A number of users in the comments complain about the overabundance of promotional videos. The usual story for hyper-casual games or, as ironSource calls them, ad-based. Supersonic plans to release a whole line of similar products in the coming months.
Supersonic Games has an innovative approach to advertising — right in the middle of the level.
It is unclear whether the studio is currently engaged in its own development.
In the press release, a lot of emphasis is placed on working with third-party teams. In the case of a partnership with Supersonic Games, they are promised that they will get access to ironSource tools.
ironSource is one of the main players in the mobile advertising market in the world. Together with AppLovin (about which below), he shares the third place in gaming traffic. This means that Supersonic partners can count on proven game promotion channels and lower marketing costs.
But not everything is so simple. By promoting the games of its own studio, ironSource will compete with its customers, other developers.
But ironSource top manager Omer Kaplan assures that the launch of Supersonic will not change the priorities in the parent company. “Our goal is to help our partners grow. ironSource’s investments in new growth points do not harm this goal. In fact, a closer connection with game development will allow us to diversify our advertising offers and better help our partners,” says Kaplan.
Perhaps the formation of Supersonic is inspired by AppLovin’s experience. ironSource’s direct competitor has been investing directly in game dev for several years. In 2018, she launched her own Lion Studios, also invested in Firecraft Studios and Belka Games. Such activity does not prevent AppLovin from strengthening its position in the mobile advertising market.
