Steam records over 10 million active in-game players

Around 19 hours ago, Steam peaked at 33,078,963 concurrent users, according to SteamDB. This is more than 1 million compared to the previous peak in November.

On top of that, Valve also recorded 10,284,568 active in-game players. For the first time ever, more than 10 million people were playing games on the platform at the same time.

CS:GO and Dota 2 remained the most played titles on Steam, peaking at 1.1 million and 759k concurrent players in the last 24 hours, respectively.

The top 10 also included Lost Ark, Apex Legends, PUBG, Goose Goose Duck, GTA V, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Steam has been growing rapidly since the breakout of the global pandemic in 2020, regularly breaking its own records. In October 2022, it peaked at 30 million concurrent players for the first time ever. In 2021, the platform had 132 million MAU, but this number was likely higher last year.
