$27 – Annual ARPU of an American Android player
The average American Android user spent about $30 on apps in 2016. $27 of them fell on mobile games, according to the analytical firm Sensor Tower.
This indicator coincides with the statistics of annual expenses of iOS users, each of whom also spent $27 on mobile games in 2016.
On average, the owner of an Android device has installed 42 programs over the past year, compared to 30 iOS apps over the same period.
18.4 installations were for games, 3 for various tools, 2.5 for entertainment applications, 2 for communication applications and 1.9 for social services.
The Sensor Tower study involved data from 135 million active Android devices with access to Google Play.
