Small Giant Games raised $5.7 million in investments to promote a new title
Finnish developer Small Giant Games has closed an investment round of €5.4 ($5.7) million to promote its new Empires & Puzzles game.
The main volume of investments was provided by Stockholm-based EQT Ventures. Creandum, Spintop Ventures, PROfounders and First Fellow Partners also contributed to this round.
The funds raised will mostly be used for marketing Empires & Puzzles, and some amount will be used to work on new titles.
Timo Soininen, CEO of Small Giant Games, said that the new project will have a very accessible gameplay, under the surface of which unexpected depth and fresh solutions for familiar game elements will be hidden.
In total, Small Giant Games managed to attract $9.5 million of investment funds.
Finnish studio Small Giant Games was founded in 2013. In addition to Empires & Puzzles, has also released games such as Rope Racers and Oddwing Escape.
